I didn’t do the best job of documenting my pregnancy with Aubrey. There were no weekly photos or progress pictures. I think some of the best shots I have are grainy Macbook selfies and candids where I just happened to be pregnant.

Since so much planning went into this pregnancy (more on that here), I knew early on that I wanted something special in terms of maternity photos. Would it shock you to know that we booked our babymoon to Maui before I even knew I was pregnant? One of the perks of IVF I guess. It would either be a celebration or pity party, & thankfully it was the former. Before we decided on Maui, I had already been following Love + Water Photography on Instagram for quite some time. Their photos are absolutely dreamy & magical, and at the time they were only booking in West Maui. Serendipitous.

Full disclosure, this incredible couple has since moved to Australia! I feel absolutely #blessed that we were able to get a session in before they left, and the photos in this set hold a special place in my heart. The shots of Aubrey are probably my favorite, they are so ‘her’. Not gonna lie, it’s kinda cool to have some shots of just me as well. Real moms know.
